AFS AccuGuide™
Autoguidance Systems
AFS AccuGuide™ autoguidance
systems from Case IH are
designed with the precision
grower in mind and eliminate the
need to steer in open fields,
except at row ends. You focus on
the performance of the implement
instead. AFS AccuGuide is
compatible with:
|
-
Magnum™ tractors
-
Steiger® tractors
-
QUADTRAC tractors
-
Axial-Flow® 7010 and 8010
combines
AFS AccuGuide lets you maintain
perfectly straight rows and
return to those same rows later
in the season. Thanks to its GPS
technology you can enjoy control
and accuracy—seed
and material are applied with
extreme precision, saving input
costs.
Added benefits.
AFS AccuGuide offers a wide
range of productivity and
cost-saving benefits such as:
-
Fewer "skips" and
"overlaps" for more
precise planting,
fertilizing and tilling
-
Less compaction
for higher yields
-
Faster field speeds
to reduce your time on the
job
-
Reduced operator
stress and fatigue.
Four levels of accuracy.
AFS AccuGuide systems are
accurate at one, five and eight
inches (depending on the source
of the differential correction
signal). For applications
requiring more precision,
sub-inch to one-inch
(2.5-cm) accuracy may be
achieved using a Case IH AFS
AccuGuide base station. The base
station correction signal
provides superior accuracy and
eliminates subscription costs.
Available now.
Dealer-installed field kits are
available for Magnum and Steiger
tractor models.

NOTE: AFS AccuGuide provides
accurate steering for field
operation in adverse conditions
such as rain, darkness, dust and
fog. However, AFS AccuGuide
cannot detect obstacles or stop
automatically to avoid danger.
The operator must remain
vigilant and steer or stop the
tractor to avoid collisions with
obstacles in the field. It is
always the operator’s
responsibility to ensure
visibility is adequate to allow
for safe operation of the
equipment under any and all
adverse conditions.
The accuracy of any guidance
system is dependent on satellite
communication, field location,
terrain, tractor and implement
condition and setup, system
installation, and calibration. A
field demonstration and trial is
the best way to determine actual
guidance system accuracy in each
situation.

EZ-Steer™ Assisted
Steering System
Add an EZ-Steer™ Assisted
Steering System to the EZ-Guide®
Plus lightbar for hands free
steering. EZ-Steer uses guidance
information from the lightbar to
turn the steering wheel for you,
providing one-foot, pass-to-pass
accuracy in most locations.
You'll focus more on equipment
operation and experience less
stress and fatigue. EZ-Steer
system accuracy is suited to
spraying, spreading, tillage,
small grain harvesting and and
broad acre seeding operations.
|
 |
Typical installation
time is less than 30
minutes on any approved
agricultural vehicle and
requires only one wrench, and
EZ-Steer can be moved easily
from vehicle to vehicle. Your
Case IH dealer has additional
vehicle installation kits
if needed. |
|
Setup takes just a few
minutes when you use
the EZ-Guide Plus lightbar to
input vehicle dimensions,
supplied with the EZ-Steer
system. Just set your straight
or curved A-B line on your first
swath. Then turn to the next
swath and press the engage
button to activate the EZ-Steer
system. To disengage, press the
disengage button or manually
turn the steering wheel.
If you have an older
tractor, want a low cost
alternative to auto-guidance or
need an assisted steering system
to round out your fleet,
the EZ-Steer system is for you.
For fully integrated, high
accuracy auto-guidance
solutions, see your Case IH
dealer.

EZ-Guide®
Plus Lightbar
The Case IH EZ-Guide® Plus
lightbar system is the first in
the industry to combine crystal
clear guidance LED’s, a
sunlight-readable graphical LCD
screen, and an integrated GPS
receiver for day or night use.
The LCD graphical screen assists
with vehicle orientation and
guidance during turns and
curves. |
|
EZ-Guide Plus is simple
to use and relies on
differential GPS to let
you know how far to the right or
left you are from your desired
position. You can put EZ-Guide
Plus to work in field
preparation, chemical or
fertilizer applications and air
seeding, and you can even hook
it to your combine’s yield
monitor to generate yield maps.
With EZ-Guide Plus you
eliminate skips and overlaps and
reduce your cost for chemicals,
fertilizer, fuel and other
materials.
Use EZ-Guide Plus when
there is wind, rain, dust or
fog, and at night or during the
